Looks like a great recipe - just what you need at this time of year! You should come over to Martha's Vineyard next Feb and enter the Big Chili Contest! There are professional and amateur categories - it can be a lot of fun!

JOE! You are such a chef! I'm inspired by this and am moving my vegan chili making up to tonight instead of Sunday. I'm really wishing I had a food processor though. I'm so low tech with kitchen stuff... btw, nice editing. What did you use to do that?

Two final comemnts: Yes, if you're gonna cook you've got to have a little wine... and chili can be for the non meat eaters (maybe not as delicious as yours.... but we vegie people have to do what we can)!

See ya! --sukhjit

We've been growing our tomatoes on the back porch this year, as well our own basil, and they both taste great! I like the idea of growing our own jalapenos. Maybe next year. :)

Got to tell everyone that i can i just started a hydroponic guarden. I am growing tomatoes and jalapenos and man what a diference in flavor. What a difference its made in my chili with the added flavor. So if you have a local farmers market that sell fresh produce its the way to go. Ugly tomatoes taste the best because they are not engineered to look good and ship well. With the store bought ones the only thing the care about is looks and shelf life.
